Looking After Your Wellbeing

Beyond World Mental Health Day

On 10th October, schools across the Trust came together to celebrate World Mental Health Day. The theme for this year was "It is time to prioritise mental health in the workplace."

While mental health is something we aim to nurture every day, this special day allowed us to put a spotlight on it. We used the day to re-connect with colleagues, through enjoying a cup of coffee, indulging in a sweet treat, or showing kindness with small gestures. These moments reminded us of the importance and what a blessing it is to work in a supportive and caring environment.

Here at Xavier Catholic Education Trust, we are particularly lucky to have Dan Newman offering his Lifestyle First programme to our schools throughout the year, which encourages us to continue to support each other and make mental health a priority every day. We benefit immensely from his contagious enthusiasm, knowledge and expertise when it comes to all things wellbeing related.

In this video Dan shares three practical tips for how to look after your mental health every day.
