Xavier Trust Awarded Research Mark Plus

Xavier Trust Awarded Research Mark Plus

National recognition for our evidence-informed excellence and commitment to our Trust mission.

We are delighted to announce that Xavier Catholic Education Trust has been awarded the prestigious Research Mark Plus by the Chartered College of Teaching, a national recognition of our trust-wide commitment to evidence-informed practice and educational excellence.

This accolade is a testament to the outstanding work of our schools, whose collaboration and dedication to research-led improvement has now been acknowledged at the highest level.

The Chartered College’s report highlighted several key strengths across the Trust:

  • Leadership in Research Engagement: Trust leaders are driving a deeply embedded culture of evidence-informed practice across all levels of our organisation.

  • Strong Partnerships and Collaboration: Internal and external collaboration is a hallmark of our approach, supporting impactful school and trust-wide improvement.

  • Success in Teaching for Mastery: Through coaching and networking, our mastery approach has enhanced outcomes in maths, reading, oracy, and the wider curriculum.

  • Embedded Education Framework: Our Trust Education Framework is delivering results through structured opportunities for reflection, professional growth, and continuous improvement.

It's a recognition that aligns powerfully with our mission: to inspire, nurture and fulfil the calling of every person we encounter and the potential of every school we serve; growing together in faith, hope and love. Because everything we do in Catholic education is rooted in the belief that each child and every colleague deserves the opportunity to realise their unique calling and become the best version of themselves. The Research Mark Plus affirms our commitment to providing the highest-quality education, enabling our children to flourish and contribute meaningfully to the greater good of all God’s people.

Xavier are proud to be recognised at this level and remain committed to growing a culture of excellence, inquiry, and faith across all our schools.
